Hudson County Community College Foundation to Offer Scholarships to HCCC Graduates with Plans to Transfer to ذكذكآ‏»­

Jersey City, N.J. – March 13, 2015 –آ  ذكذكآ‏»­ University today announced that it will accept scholarship awards from the Hudson County Community College Foundation for graduates from Hudson County Community College (HCCC) who plan to transfer to ذكذكآ‏»­. The awards will be for two $10,000 scholarships per year for two years.

“Tremendous progress has been made in regards to transfer enrollment at ذكذكآ‏»­ and a majority of these transfer students are graduates of HCCC,â€‌ said Eugene J. Cornacchia, Ph.D., president of ذكذكآ‏»­ University. “We are very grateful to the Hudson County Community College Foundation for offering this scholarship to provide students with the opportunity to continue their education at ذكذكآ‏»­. As always, we are proud to work with HCCC to improve access to education in our area and HCCC graduates continue to be great assets to the ذكذكآ‏»­ community.â€‌

Students who wish to apply for the HCCC Foundation scholarship must be graduates of HCCC, must be accepted, enroll as full-time students and maintain that status at ذكذكآ‏»­ University, must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and must have academic recommendations from the Office of the Academic Affairs Vice President at HCCC.

“Hudson County Community College has always worked with ذكذكآ‏»­ University to provide the people of our community with extraordinary opportunities that will benefit them and their families in the long term,â€‌ said Glen Gabert, Ph.D., president of HCCC.

The award is for two students and each student may receive up to $5,000 for each semester for a maximum of $10,000 per year. The award may be continued for a second year for a total of $20,000, contingent upon the availability of funds and provided the student maintains a minimum GPA of 3.5.آ  Students will be chosen for this award by ذكذكآ‏»­ University from the nominees supplied by HCCC Office of Academic Affairs.
